First Small Grower Meeting

Today, we kick off our first of 12 small grower meetings!  We are excited to see everyone and get to chat about beans over some coffee.  I hope to see you all in the next couple of weeks as we travel the countryside to meet with our growers!

Small Grower Meetings

Starting Monday, we kick off our first of 12 small grower meetings we put on for our growers.  The first one will be at our Bridgeport Headquarters at 10 am.  You should be getting a call here in the next couple of days about a meeting in your area.  If you are curious before then, please give us a call (308) 436.2186.  Hope to see you all soon!  Come with questions.  Have a great weekend!

Mark Your Calendars

Spring is just around the corner!

On Tuesday, March 6th, 2012 we will be holding our "Spring Grower Meeting" for our members at the Civic Center here in Gering.  Please set this date aside as you will be pleased with our lineup of speakers and of course the wonderful lunch served by the Civic Center.  We will get started with registration at 8:30 am and will serve lunch around noon.

Happenings at Stateline Today....

It sounds like the guys in Bridgeport are making 100 pound Pinto bags for a boxcar and running Great Northerns to get ready for a hopper tomorrow.  Our guys here in Gering are loading boxcars today too!

A Day in Bridgeport

Yesterday, Heath and I walked around all the bins, tunnels, ladders, mill, and warehouse going over H.A.C.C.P/food certification improvements.  He showed me and taught me how they process beans here in Bridgeport as we walked around.  It has been alot of fun being down here the past couple of days.  Here are a couple photos from my journey.

Seed Treater

We have an option this year to treat any Cruiser untreated seed for our growers, thanks to the help of Panhandle Coop.  We had the guys out last Friday to test a tote of seed through the machine.  We took samples before and after the seed went through the machine.  We found no damage done to the seeds, making this machine a viable option available for those wanting varieties that were not originally treated.  This will be possible for seed packaged in 2,000 pound totes.
