Several good days of seed season!  We have had alot farmers come to the office to pick up their seed as well as several deliveries too!  This is a photo from a farm up North.  John Deere Green!  :)

Yesterday, we blew a brand new tire on our trailer, but these guys were awesome and helped us fix it much faster.  Thank you again!

Adventurous Evening

Last night, we went to meet up with a semi full of seed that was coming straight from Powell, Wyoming.  This was a direct-to-farm delivery and the driver didn't have a pallet jack and we also needed a forklift to unload.  So we headed out there to get the truck unloaded at 6:30 pm so that he could get on the road tomorrow and on with his travels.  We had no problems unloading the truck and we got him on his way.

On the way to the farm, I started to smell diesel, but Heath just thought that he got some on his jeans when he was loading the forklift.  Turns out, we had a big leak and had leaked all the way down the driveway.  The pickup would not start.  We ended up lifting the hood and finding out that the injector line had blown.  With the help of the farmers and Heath's dad, we tried several things.  The pickup would start, but then it would blow again!  Finally, after quite some time of trying, we towed the pickup back to the office.  We needed to get the forklift home because we had to unload a seed semi this morning.

There is one place in town that sells Dodge parts that new and we were lucky enough to find the part and  we are off and running again!  Yay!  It's going to be a great day!!

Not the greatest picture...off of my phone...but a memory at least!

Thank you to everyone who helped us out!  Your help was awesome!  :)

Planting Season

Whether I am biking, driving, or running, I can usually see a farmer out in the field planting!  It is that time of year with baby calves and brandings, trees and flowers blooming and planting happening.  I hope everyone enjoys this new and wonderful time of year as we roll into the summer.  School is almost out and the swimming pools will be opening soon!  The lake will be a weekend get-a-way and let the mowing begin!  (Note to self:  MUST water grass this year!--Being an Illinois country girl, I have to get used to this idea!)  :)

T*e*a*m*W*O*R*K!

I experienced great teamwork this weekend!  Heath and I were delivering a large load of seed up to Hay Springs on Saturday when it started to rain.  Realizing that we were headed straight into the rain and already half way up there, I decided to make a phone call.  I rang one of our growers in Alliance and explained my situation with the seed and the rain and I didn't even have to ask!  Before I could even finished, he offered his shed for us to park the trailer in until it stopped raining.  It was absolutely perfect timing!  We returned after the rain and got the load delivered safely!

Seed Deliveries

We had a great morning!  Heath and I were Pine Bluffs, Wyoming by 7:30 am delivering seed to a new member.  Seed is coming in from the seed companies and we are getting it out to our farmers!  If you would like your seed delivered to your farm, please let me know and we will get it to you as soon as we can!
